PRESS RELEASE
On the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB), the Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Murasoli Maran has approved 131 cases of Foreign Direct Investment of about Rs.5592 crores. The proposals cover various sectors like automobile, financial, electronic software & computer software development, power, manufacture of textiles & textile machinery, telecom services, food & beverages, floriculture, machine tools, manufacture of equipment & machinery for telecom sector, power sector and infrastructure sector. A list of proposals cleared is enclosed.
