PRESS RELEASE
On the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board(FIPB), the Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Murasoli Maran has approved 49 Cases of Foreign Direct Investment of about Rs. 769.00 Crore. The proposals cover various sectors including research and development activities for bulk drugs, confectionery & consumer items, Software development, air & ground transportation, acquaculture, automobile components, electrical and electronic components, ISP , infrastructure projects for storage and distribution of LPG, telecom services, power, handicrafts, consultancy in engineering infrastructure sector, information technology and NBFC activities. A list of proposals cleared is enclosed.
