PRESS RELEASE
On the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board(FIPB), the Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Murasoli Maran has approved 53 proposals of Foreign Direct Investment amounting to around Rs. 437.00 Crore. The major investment proposals pertain to sectors such as chemicals and petro-chemicals, automobiles, heavy & light engineering and electrical industry, steel, software development, ISP, consultancy, integrated water supply, health and NBFC activities. A list of proposals cleared is enclosed.
